University of Bielsko-Biala, Poland, EU

Prof. Hajduga is a specialist in the field of metallurgy and heat treatment of metallic materials. He deal with issues regarding finishes and metallic coatings. Many publications take place in a non-existent atmosphere, but also high-temperature corrosion. He is currently employed at the Institute of Materials Engineering at the Academy of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała.

At the METAL'18 conference Prof. Hajduga will present the lecture at the Session D - Modern Trends in Surface Engineering: "Structure and Corrosion Resistance of the End of Combustion Chimneys".

Prof. Hajduga was born on August 24, 1943 in Proszowice as the son of Alfred and Adela nee Solarz. In 1962, graduated from the Metallurgical Technical School. In this way he was admitted to the Silesian University of Technology to Gliwice, Faculty of Mechanics and Technology, where he completed his first-year studies. After a two-year break caused by serious heart disease he continued his studies at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Silesia and Katowice, where in 1969 he obtained a master's degree in technology. In the same year, he was employed at the Faculty of Technology in the Department of Metal Science as an assistant, and from 1972 as a senior assistant.

In 1976 Prof. Hajduga defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Gdańsk University of Technology with a Ph.D. in technical sciences. Job offers MNSzWiT. In 1988 he obtained the postdoctoral degree of technical sciences in the field of materials engineering at the Institute of Metal Physics, Technical University of Brno, Czech Republic (nostrified in Poland). In 2001 he received the title of full professor.

In 2001, Prof. Hajduga received the academic title of professor in the field of technical sciences. A detailed way of his scientific and didactic work was explained by the self-review.
